A .John and Buffy toured with Bobby Kennedy during the 1968 presidential campaign and sang at campaign rallies before Bobby's assassination n Los Angeles in June 1968, the night he won the California primary and appeared to be headed toward receiving the Democratic Party nomination. John did an album of songs from and about that campaign, titled The Last Campaign, and wrote a song of the same title that is on "Phonix Concerts."
